India is the initial sovereign-cloud focus. Project country selection defines its intended residency boundary, with placement, backup and log policies designed to enforce it. The cell is planned to include the database, object storage, service runtime, logs, backups and resident replicas, with in-country processing across the project data path. Identity and key authority are planned within the cell’s operating model; AI provider processing is evaluated against the project’s data path. OVHcloud and other in-country cloud providers are candidates under evaluation. Country availability follows provider selection and operational validation.

How does India-cell residency work?
The planned India project cell is designed to keep the project database, object storage, service runtime, logs, backups and resident replicas within India. Placement, backup and log policies are intended to enforce this project boundary. Identity, key authority and AI-provider processing are included in the design and evaluated for the workload.
What happens when I choose a country?
The country choice assigns the project to that country’s intended cell and defines its data-residency boundary. It is a project-level setting, so one organisation can plan separate projects in different countries; it is not based on a person’s citizenship.
How do you address local requirements?
Provider and deployment choices are evaluated country by country with the relevant data paths, support model, identity, key authority, backups, logs and AI processing. OVHcloud and other in-country cloud providers are candidates under evaluation, with each deployment assessed for its specific requirements.
